Patrice de Candé holds the Certificates of specialization in Intellectual Property Law and Economic Law. He has been Partner at DEBAIN DUCHARNE MARTEL and then RBM2L Law firms, founding Partner of LALANNE-MARCHAIS-de CANDÉ Law Firm in 1997 and founding Partner of CANDÉ-BLANCHARD-DUCAMP Law Firm.

Patrice de Candé has been a lecturer in intellectual property law at PARIS-DAUPHINE University for 18 years and, is a lecturer at LYON University at the moment and is a frequent speaker at conferences dedicated to this subject.

He is also the author of numerous publications and a member of the editorial board of the law review Propriétés Intellectuelles in which he has been writing the Dessins et Modèles (Designs) column since its creation in 2001.

He is a member of the Trademark working committee and of the Design and Model working committee of the APRAM (Association des praticiens du droit des marques et des modèles – association of trade mark and design law practitioners), a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and of the AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intelectuelle - The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property).
